The Victoria Conservatory of Music’s 1965 Steinway Grand was brought to Victoria by Robin Wood, purchased in Germany the same year and transported via the Panama Canal. The Steinway has served the VCM’s many generations of students, faculty and well-known visiting artists.
Our Steinway is the Grande Dame of the VCM and one of our most treasured instruments. It has been with us from the very beginning and is still going strong. However, after 54 years of service it is now in need of critical refurbishment to keep it at the concert level required for classical performance.
Please join us in raising funds to make the first phase of critical repairs to our beloved Steinway.
