About This Charity

Volunteer MBC is the volunteer centre serving the cities of Mississauga and Brampton, and the Town of Caledon. The centre strives to be a strong voice to support and promote volunteerism. Our Mission is to promote meaningful volunteerism and foster best practices through learning and development. We do so through our Online Volunteer Referral Service (OVRS) and through our ‘Just In Time’ Volunteer MBC Learning Centre. In 2017, Volunteer MBC made over 40,000 volunteer referrals to almost 200 community service organizations, which resulted in more than 4.7 million hours of energy and expertise channeled into servicing people in our community. We also provide targeted programs to help newcomers integrate into their new community, seniors feel valued and share their skills, and youth develop leadership skills. These services enable local organizations to continue to provide their programs and services throughout Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.
