Westcoast Family Centres Society's mission is to strengthen relationships between children and families and between families and their communities. We are a multi-service non-profit organization delivering child-centred, evidence-based programs and services, respecting the dignity and integrity of all family members.
The holiday season is right around the corner and for WFC families this can be a particularly difficult time. This year we aim to fulfil 110 Family Holiday Hampers!
One of the families supported was a mum fleeing domestic violence with her five children ages 4-19. She moved into a new space and on her holiday hamper wish list was items for a fresh start, including household items such as towels, kitchen appliances, and household cleaning supplies. In addition, the hamper included family activities and games.
These Holiday Hampers are a little touch of kindness and generosity that community members put together. They provide extra support to families in the form of household items, family activities, groceries, winter clothing, towels, bedding, personal care items, books and toys for children, to name a few. WFC is looking for support for over 110 families who are low-income and high-risk. Our families include single-parents, newcomer families, foster parents, Indigenous families and families with children with developmental challenges.
Your donation will contribute to activities and gifts this holiday season, lifting the spirits of vulnerable families in the Lower Mainland!
