Westminster House is a Treatment Centre for Women. Our mission:
" To provide residential addiction treatment for women through integrated social recovery, education, and wellness."
About Our Charity
Westminster House is a non-profit charity since 1981. We rely heavily on donations to facilitate our wellness program, social recreational budget and to provide Education to our program graduates. Currently, income for the program is provided by a combination of: user fees, health service grants, fund-raising activities, private donations and grants from foundations and community groups.
About Our Program
Westminster House is a residential program for women located in the social recovery community of New Westminster, British Columbia. Westminster House provides a full continuum of care including primary care, second stage and after care programs. The program is a bio/social/psycho model and is based on the 12-steps. Program includes group therapy, education of addiction, process and one to one counseling. The On-Going Recovery component is an outpatient service that includes family and alumni groups.
Westminster House programs are champions for social recovery and have an excellent reputation in the community we serve. Our primary goal: to teach the women a new way of life, free from active addiction so that they can return to their families and to the workplace as productive trustworthy members of society.
