About This Charity

Originally initiated in 1992 by the Community Vision Action Team and officially established in 1994 via a steering committee of professionals, youth, parents and like-minded individuals, the Summit Youth Centre Hub exists to provide a safe and dynamic ‘Hub’ for The Columbia Valley’s youth. The Hub is completely not for profit and depends on the good will of the town of Invermere, local businesses, caring individuals and applicable grants to keep its doors open. It is THE HUB in Invermere where youth ages 12 through 18 can meet, hang out and enjoy some good times with friends. Youth are welcomed and encouraged to participate in our programs, socialize and make new friends. The Hub provides a bully-free, drug-free and alcohol-free environment, led by marvelous staff dedicated to the well-being of Columbia Valley’s youth.
