“In my dreams people are running, shouting, fighting, crying—then I wake up in fear.”
Somsida, 11, has survived a real-life nightmare. She is one of nearly 900,000 refugees who’ve fled Myanmar for their lives – most of these refugees identify as Rohingya and are living without clean water, food and health care in makeshift shelters in Bangladesh.
World Vision is working to provide humanitarian aid to these refugees, 60 per cent of whom are children.
Like many others, Somsida saw her family members murdered and then watched as her village was burned to the ground – in what many, including the United Nations, have described as ethnic cleansing.
We need to stand with Somsida and other Myanmar refugees who have been left broken by these atrocities. Join us in extending love, hope and comfort by making a donation to the Myanmar Crisis Relief Fund today.
Your support will help provide things like food assistance, shelter, child protection and water and sanitation support. We are particularly focused on helping the most vulnerable, including: orphaned or unaccompanied children, female-led families and the elderly.
