Did you know that learning music is proven to help children with cognitive development, emotional expression, social skills, perseverance, cultural awareness, respect for diversity, and creativity?  And students who receive a high-quality music education also perform better academically. Yet today, most schools in Ontario are not able to provide this important learning to students. For more than thirty years, Young Voices Toronto has bridged that gap, fostering leadership, confidence and humanity in our choristers.

Every Fall, we ask our wider community of chorister families and extended families, alumni, friends and choral music lovers everywhere to support our programming for young choral musicians.  We depend on your generosity to close our funding gap and keep program fees affordable and inclusive. 

The money raised through  “More than Music” is used to support a staff of incredible, diverse musicians, our reach to schools in the west end of Toronto, new music, and bursaries for choristers experiencing financial hardship.
