Chimo Animal Assisted Wellness and Learning Society (CAAWLS) is an innovative non profit initiative that brings animals and humans together for positive, wellness directed interactions. Individuals from all walks of life from young children to university students to seniors have been shown to benefit from visits from CAAWLS teams. To hear our clients' exclamations of joy because they are so excited to see our dog and cat handler teams is all the motivation our volunteers needs to keep on visiting. We have almost 140 registered teams, some of whom have weekly commitments with our clients. We see thousands of individuals yearly and often have up to 10 events per week attended by one or more of our teams.
