Literacy Nova Scotia
100 years ago, if you could sign your name you were considered literate, 30 years ago if you had a grade nine education. Today everything from banking to job applications require higher levels of literacy, numeracy and digital skills than ever before.
Studies show 50% of Nova Scotians could benefit from improving their literacy and essential skills. Literacy Nova Scotia works with 35+ community learning organizations to raise the literacy levels of adult learners across the province.
Your donations help ensure access to free quality programming, supplies and technology in the classroom, financial support for learners, and training for educators and tutors. With your help we will continue to see adult learners achieve success and reach their full potential.
