The Society aims to develop a venue that promotes an exchange of ideas and skills, and to share this creativity with the local community through performance art, exhibitions, interpretive tours and interactive programming.  The Artist in Residence Program is central to a program of events, which includes a Community Lantern Festival, Summer Art Camps for kids, and outdoor Art Markets.

The property was purchased by Leoni Caetani, Duke of Sermoneta and Prince of Teano, Italy in 1921 and  the Caetani family weaved an intricate local legend.   The artist, Sveva Caetani, bequeathed the property to the City of Vernon in 1994 and it is now a renowned local heritage site.  The small estate comprises, the Caetani heritage house and six outbuildings, converted into artist studios, set on one and a half acres of mature grounds.

An Open House Plan aims to enhance the capacity of the facility and create a sustainable community resource by providing a unique public gallery and learning space.

L'artiste en résidence est au centre d'un programme de manifestations.
