BethanyKids - bringing healing and hope to children with disabilities in Africa.  Most families in Africa with disabled children cannot afford the surgery needed to help them live wholesome, contributing lives.  BethanyKids offers the medical skills and financial resources to allow such children to receive corrective surgery for their spina bifida, hydrocephalus, cleft lip, cleft palate, burns and other disabling conditions.  In 2011 it was our privilege to bring such hope and healing to more than 2,000 children and their parents / guardians.  To multiply our impact we also train African doctors to perform these life-changing surgical procedures in their home settings.

Plusieurs familles avec des enfants ayant des handicaps ne peuvent payer pour les chirurgies qui pourraient changer leurs vies. BethanyKids offre les habiletés cliniques et les ressources financières pour permettre à ces enfants de recevoir les chirurgies pour leurs spina bifidas, leurs hydrocéphales, leurs fentes labio-palatines, leurs brûlures et plusieurs autres conditions. En 2011, ce fût notre privilège de rendre l’espoir et de contribuer à la guérison de plus de 2000 enfants et leurs parents. Pour multiplier notre impact, nous formons aussi des médecins africains à performer des procédures chirurgicales qui peuvent changer des vies et ce, dans les établissements de santé africains.

Isabel is a freelance writer and theology student based in Vancouver, BC.  She loves using her voice for good and for God's glory on her blog and Instagram. When not writing, studying, or serving in her church community, she enjoys reading, checking out new cafes, and going for yoga, barre and HIIT classes. She's excited to raise awareness of and support for children in need of good medical care as a BethanyKids Ambassador.
