Ils apportent une aide à la communauté locale autour de différentes thématiques préalablement choisies : rénovation du patrimoine, environnement, construction, culturel, agriculture, social, éducatif ..

This project is part of an international movement, which emphasizes on volunteerism and the development of local communities, all while gathering international youth around a common cause, combining work and fun.

Chantiers jeunesse est un organisme à but non lucratif créé en 1980 qui vise à favoriser le développement de jeunes citoyens actifs et engagés, à appuyer le développement d'une communauté et du plein potentiel des personnes en offrant des lieux d'apprentissage et de formation en collaboration avec des partenaires d'ici et d'ailleurs, et ce, dans un esprit de solidarité et de respect des différences.
