Our Parent Education programming includes our:

Caring Families - Sessions are facilitated by staff who role model effective parenting strategies and activities for preschool children.

Collective Kitchen - Plan and prepare nutritious meals in a group setting.

How to Talk so Kids Will Listen - Learn and practice communication and appropriate discipline skills that will build childrens' independence and self-esteem.

Introduction to Anger for Women - Learn more about anger styles, triggers, strategies, healthy anger, and letting go of past anger and resentment.

Nobody's Perfect - Covers the basics of parenting a young child and is intended for expecting or first-time parents.

Parenting in Two Cultures - Learn about new positive parenting strategies without losing valued traditions and cultures.

In addition, we also provide drop-in programs, Triple P programs, referrals, prenatal information, developmental screening for children, and other parenting services.

KARA Family Resource Centre is able to offer free programs, services, and support to families through the support of YOUR donation.

KARA Family Resource Centre is currently seeking donations through CanadaHelps from May 27, 2022 to May 27, 2023! Help KARA Family Resource Centre raise $10,000.00 to support our agency in providing barrier free programs and services at no cost to families. Our agency offers a variety of programs and services that support the development of both children and their families, such as parent education, family support, early childhood development, developmental screening, and community information and supported referrals.

We anticipate raising $10,000.00 for this CanadaHelps event with limited fundraising costs between $300.00 and $400.00 to hold the campaign. KARA Family Resource Centre

Donation will fund a family to attend the 7 week Indigenous Children’s Circle program once per year.

Donation will fund a family to attend Creative Play & More program 3 times per year. 

Donation will fund a family to attend the 12 week Literacy & Parenting Skills program once per year. 

Donation will fund  a family to attend the 8 week Super Dads Super Kids program one time per year.
