The Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association recently established the Mike Martin Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Bursary to acknowledge their friend and industry colleague who passed away on April 26th, 2021 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

He will be remembered for his big personality, engaging sense of humor, his integrity, and his passion for the building industry. He was a warm-hearted man filled with pride and as generous as they come. It is fitting to honour Mike by continuing his generosity for those following in his footsteps in the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program at Algonquin College.
