The Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS), formerly Caring for First Nations Children Society, is a not-for-profit organization that strengthens the voice of Indigenous communities through education and professional development.

Our training programs help foster a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives and cultural differences, and we help build successful partnerships and relationships with Indigenous communities, stakeholders and government partners.

We also build capacity and support self-determination for Indigenous communities by providing leadership in research, innovation and contributing to social change.

IPS offers specialized training courses designed for Indigenous 2-Spirit and LGBTQI* Youth. These unique trainings incorporate classroom learning supported by a panel of 2-Spirit and LGBTQI* Elders, peers and community leaders sharing their wisdom and lived experience, facilitating valuable intergenerational engagement and exchange, to help support younger ones on their journeys. With your generous support, we will continue to offer Two Spirit and Indigenous LGBTQI* Youth our trainings free of charge and help them access the support and guidance they need to help them thrive.
