Cambridge Shelter Corporation is a non-profit, charitable, United Way partner agency that provides emergency shelter and a host of other services and programs to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.  We also have twenty bachelor apartments and operate a daily drop-in centre.

Thanks to our donors we are able to respond to the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness in Waterloo Region.  As the only permanent emergency shelter for adult males, The Bridges is grateful to our caring community for its financial support.  Planning ahead takes time and money.  Funds raised through We Care Wednesdays allow us to purchase shelter supplies when the need arises..

When a person moves from The Bridges to their own home, they need to start fresh.  Donations of nearly new or gently used pots, pans, and furniture are greatly appreciated.  However, it is always better if we can provide new pillows and bedding.  Warm bedding will provide comfort and security for individuals as they get used to their new environment.  You can help us to provide comfort and security to someone who is ready to transform their life.

Individuals experiencing homelessness are also more likely to experience mental illness, family breakdown, and ill-health.  The Bridges strives to alleviate these outcomes while helping those who seek our help to exit the cycle of homelessness.  Without our committed donors and dedicated volunteers we would not be here to help when our help is needed.
