The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is the first of its kind built outside of China. Fifty-three master craftmen came from China in 1985 with 950 crates of material and constructed the Garden using traditional methods - no glue, screws, or power tools were used! The result is this enchanting space imbued with the perfect balance of yin and yang.

The Garden's education team bring to life arts, culture, philosophy, social history, and much more through our various programs, lectures, and public festivals that are accessible to all levels and ages.

The COVID-19 global pandemic, coupled with the rise in anti-asian sentiment, has highlighted the immense need for cultural programming celebrating Canada's diversity.

We ask for your support in this ongoing work, as we develop virtual and online programming, activities, and classroom aids for students, parents, and teachers.
