CDF Canada Gets the Building Blocks in Place for Ukraine’s Long-Term Recovery

Thank you to everyone who donated to CDF Canada’s Ukraine Campaign. To date, and through your generosity, we’ve raised $80,000, half of our goal. $30,000 has already been invested in CDF’s SEW Ukraine project (Supporting Economic Prosperity for Women), to purchase sewing machines and materials, aimed at fostering economic prosperity for several thousands of vulnerable women, including Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) living in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts of Ukraine. The project is creating a positive impact by giving access to employment, vocational training, workplace integration training, and ancillary services such as shared childcare facilities.

Canadians have a long-standing history of helping others in need. In particular, those in the credit union and cooperative communities, who, like CDF Canada, is committed to helping build more resilient and sustainable communities. We hope you will help us raise the necessary funds now, in order to plan how to best use them upon cease-fire. Please give what you can today, to create hope for Ukraine tomorrow.
