Inclusive & Accessible Playground

Accessibility & inclusion is important to us, which is why the BC Wildlife Park is upgrading our existing playground. We know that children need opportunities for risky, yet safe, outdoor play & that play is a fundamental human right of all children -integral to cognitive, physical & social development & emotional well being.The new playground will include elements to encourage imaginative play, with ramps that allow all children to reach elevated play components, inclusive slides, ground-level play activities, sensory & unique tactile experiences and inclusive swings & wheelchair-accessible equipment.
