Luisa Siy Co Memorial Lung Cancer Literacy Fund

Mama was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer at the end of July 2020 after being initially admitted to the hospital with a stroke earlier that month. The news came as a shock to us given that she was a non-smoker and led a fairly active and healthy lifestyle. She fought bravely but the cancer had metastasized to her brain in small lesions which meant that she was not able to undergo traditional cancer treatments. The treatment options would have been different had the cancer been detected earlier and people were more aware.

This fund was created in honour of her courageous battle and is dedicated to increasing awareness and educating the public about this devastating cancer.
