As part of the Ritchie Community League's winter-long Move for Mental Health Challenge, we have created this fundraiser to support all who may need to seek mental health support: individuals, youth, families and vulnerable people. Mental health affects us all, especially as we move into the next chapter of these COVID times.
From January-March, we are challenging our entire community to get out and move for mental health. It takes three months to create a lifestyle, so let's get committed! We're also asking for a minimum $10 donation (which means you'll need to sacrifice two Transcend coffees) to one of these amazing organizations that do so much for the people in our city.
We see the need for additional support for mental health as we have utilized these services and see the great good they do for our society. Some individuals have accessed mental health support but remain silent as they feel they don't have a safe place to share. From past experience, it is better to open up than to keep things bottled up, but we do understand a safe place to do so is important, which is another reason for this fundraiser.
Now we ask you to go a step further.
We challenge you to ask a close friend: "How are you doing?" Be vulnerable and share yourself. It's hard to open up. So ask questions and listen; don't judge.

Thanks for supporting this initiative.
