Children are the future of the world. Having spent my childhood (and a significant part of my life) in India, my heart bleeds at the record on-going surge of COVID-19 deaths in the country. More than 200,000 deaths this week is unimaginable.
While strict lockdowns are essential to control the spread of virus, it also risks pushing many children and their families into poverty and hunger. And, this number could soar by millions.
Run4India is a small movement combining the two things I am passionate about (running and children), to make a difference to the future generation. Your donation to Run4India (a part of Save the Children's India COVID-19 Crisis Fund) will allow the team to respond quickly by delivering essential supplies, including oxygen, ventilators and medicine, as well as emotional and educational support for children. The team is also helping fast-track vaccinations for the most marginalized.
The fundraising window will be open from May 16 till June 30. Your support will count towards supporting the future generation, and will be greatly appreciated.
I plan to run and dedicate a 90KM ultramarathon on June 13th (my birthday), and a distance of 600KM during the fundraising window, in support of children in India.
