Earth Day, held each year on April 22, is a celebration of the creatures, the wild places, and the natural systems that sustain life on this planet. Earth Day is also a call to action; inspiring us anew to protect what supports us all.<\/p>\n

Through ALUS Canada\u2019s proven, next-generation conservation model, and our New Acre\u2122 Project, we\u2019re working to produce cleaner air, cleaner water and more biodiversity in 21 rural communities across Canada. With your support, farmers and ranchers will enhance marginal acres of their farmland with teeming wetlands, rich pollinator habitats, diverse native forests and a wide range of other ALUS projects.<\/p>\n

ALUS Canada, a Weston Family Initiative, is a groundbreaking environmental charity that sustains tens of thousands of ecological projects on close to a thousand farms and ranches across \u00a0the country, and is rapidly expanding. As a recent Alberta Emerald and Clean50 award winner\u2014and ranked among the exclusive Clean16\u2014ALUS is also a recognized national leader in sustainability.<\/p>\n

For more than a decade now, we have been investing in farmers and ranchers to produce acres of cleaner air, cleaner water, wildlife habitats and other ecosystem services on their land. Each ALUS project is unique, like the distinctive landscape on which it is established. ALUS projects cover tens of thousands of acres across six provinces, making up a quilt of stories\u2014stories about individual farmers and committed donors, about people from rural and urban communities working together, and about creating something new, for everyone\u2019s benefit.<\/p>\n
