Many charities have already transformed their fundraising campaigns into a virtual format.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re just starting out, or adding on the finishing touches, we have put together three creative examples from our charity partners to help make your next virtual campaign a success.<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<h2>1. Walking on the greener side with Youth Unlimited (YFC Toronto)<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/YFC.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-54143\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/YFC.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"945\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/YFC.jpeg 945w, https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/YFC-300x110.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/YFC-768x280.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 945px) 100vw, 945px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Youth Unlimited (YFC Toronto) supports youth in the Greater Toronto Area by connecting them with mentors who can help them achieve their full potential and transform their lives. Even though they are unable to host their annual spring golf tournament fundraiser, it didn\u2019t stop them from taking everyone to the green to \u201cwalk the course\u201d.<\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li><strong>Their virtual fundraiser:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cTogether for Transformation\u201d virtual golf<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong>\u00a0Runs between March 31st to May 12th<\/li>\n<li><strong>How their supporters can participate:<\/strong>\u00a0By virtually walking the golf course and \u201ctaking a shot\u201d in the form of one or more donations. Donors who give $250 and over receive various golfer\u2019s swag. Every day, an update is provided on which hole they are walking, and the total amount raised to date.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Their fundraising goal:<\/strong>\u00a0$90,000<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fundraising tool<\/strong>: An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/en\/for-charities\/accept-donations-online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">embedded custom donation<\/a>\u00a0form with preset amounts that provide creative giving options for donors. Participants also have the option to donate monthly to the cause.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<h2>2. Getting everyone moving at home with Big Brothers Big Sisters Langley<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/BigBros.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-54145\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/BigBros.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"945\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/BigBros.png 945w, https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/BigBros-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/BigBros-768x280.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 945px) 100vw, 945px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley, BC is encouraging everyone to stay healthy, strong, and connected during these uncertain and stressful times. Throughout the month of April, they are asking supporters to participate in their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forcharities.canadahelps.org\/solutions\/peer-to-peer-fundraising\">peer-to-peer social fundraiser<\/a>\u00a0in support of their youth mentorship programs.<\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li><strong>Their virtual fundraiser:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cMove for Mentoring\u201d fitness challenge<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong>\u00a0Runs between April 1st to April 30th<\/li>\n<li><strong>How their supporters can participate:<\/strong>\u00a0By joining as an individual or getting into teams to pledge their at-home workouts, set a fundraising goal, post pictures\/videos of their accomplishments, and encourage their friends to do the same. At the end of the month, participants complete their physical challenges based on the amount of money that they raised.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Challenge Ideas:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cFOR THE PUSH-UP KING: I commit to doing one push-up for every $1 I raise for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley!\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cFOR THE DANCING QUEEN: I will commit to dancing for 1 minute for every $1 I raise for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley!\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cFOR THE JUMPING JACK FAMILY: We commit to doing 1 jumping jack for every $1 we raise for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley!\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Their fundraising goal:<\/strong>\u00a0$5,000.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fundraising tool:<\/strong>\u00a0Individuals and teams can set up their own fundraiser pages using the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/en\/for-charities\/peer-to-peer-fundraising\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">peer-to-peer social fundraising tool<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Take a look at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/en\/charities\/big-brothers-big-sisters-of-langley\/p2p\/move-for-mentoring\/\">Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley&#8217;s campaign here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<h2>3. Honouring loved ones in times of social distancing with Crossroads Hospice Society<\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/crossroads.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-54147\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/crossroads.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/crossroads.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/crossroads-300x100.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.canadahelps.org\/media\/crossroads-768x257.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Crossroads Hospice Society provides compassionate care to those affected by the end-of-life experience in Port Moody and the surrounding area. This year, in light of the recent pandemic, they have taken their annual Hike for Hospice virtual. \u00a0Supporters are provided with an opportunity to come together virtually, anytime, and anywhere (indoors) to raise money while staying active, healthy, and safe in the comfort of their homes.<\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li><strong>Their virtual fundraiser:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cHike for Hospice\u201d social distancing edition<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong>\u00a0The fundraiser runs between January 29th to May 3rd.
