This past year has been busy for CanadaHelps, and I can\u2019t tell you enough how proud I am of what has been achieved. Recently, we introduced new features for customizable donation forms such as the ability to embed your customizable form into your website and optimize it for monthly donations. And now, to offer you even more flexibility, you have the option to remove the \u201c$3 Support CanadaHelps\u201d ask from your form.<\/p>\n
In the last year alone, we re-launched our website and now offer an engaging destination for both charities and donors; launched a robust Peer-to-Peer fundraising platform that truly levels the playing field for charities of all sizes; launched a powerful Events Management platform giving charities the flexibility to run free and paid ticketed events, and issue split receipts; and began offering donor database integration for charities with two of the most common donor databases, Salesforce and Raiser\u2019s Edge. We also increased our already well-established focus on charity education with dozens of free new videos and webinars, and the launch of our Online Donor Acquisition and Retention course \u2013 the first of its kind to offer high-quality content priced specifically for small charities.<\/p>\n
As a charity,\u00a0we\u00a0play an important role in providing affordable fundraising technology to over 16,000 small and medium-sized charities that rely on us. Donors can choose to support our mission by adding a small but impactful donation of $3 to CanadaHelps during checkout. The \u201c$3 Support CanadaHelps\u201d ask is a source of funding for our charity on top of the 2% transaction fee we charge on donations. It helps us invest in new technologies so that we can stay current for our clients and continue to both build new services and upgrade and maintain current ones. Being a technology-driven organization, every cent counts to offset costs and help us keep low rates. <\/p>\n
We still have more to do if we want to ensure every charity in Canada can benefit from our full suite of online fundraising tools and know-how which is why we need your help, so we can continue to bridge the gap between small and large charities in Canada.<\/p>\n
