Delivering an election takes 10,000 non-partisan individuals across the province to fill key roles that help make voting places run smoothly. You\u2019ll be serving the 815,000 eligible voters, and raising funds for your charity.<\/p>\n

This April, Elections SK is partnering with CanadaHelps<\/a> to offer a new opportunity for registered charities to participate during election day. Saskatchewan\u2019s spirit of building local communities, combined with the desire to help others, creates a perfect opportunity to allow people to be involved in the democratic process while at the same time, making a significant impact to another cause.<\/p>\n

Take Part and give back<\/strong>
\nRaising awareness about this opportunity within your charitable organization can really pay off. As an example, if five members of a charity all work election day and donate their day\u2019s pay and training pay, or roughly $230 each, to a common charity it would be a sizeable donation of $1,150. Interested charities can find out more about this opportunity at www.elections.sk.ca\/takepart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Expressing your interest to work is easy<\/strong>
\nEach person from the charity simply needs to go online at www.elections.sk.ca\/takepart<\/a>, or call 1-877-958-8683. It takes just a minute to leave your name and contact information. At the Election SK training sessions in March, workers simply fill out a form to direct their pay to any registered charity of their choice. How CanadaHelps works<\/strong>
\nCanadaHelps (www.CanadaHelps.org<\/a>) serves Canadian charities and donors by facilitating donations online. They will direct donations on behalf of the election worker and issue tax receipts by email after the election. Saskatchewan has more than 4000 registered charities that could take part in this great opportunity.<\/p>\n

Elections Saskatchewan is the province\u2019s independent, impartial, professional election management body. Given a mandate from the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly, it organizes, manages and oversees provincial electoral events, including the April 4, 2016 general election.
