• We may edit your post for clarity and length where necessary, and in some cases, may not post the full interview. We may also add sub-headings on longer posts for easy online reading. We will never do anything to change the meaning of your work.
  • Keep your tone conversational and avoid jargon. Our readers come from a range of backgrounds and experiences and we want our content to be accessible to all.
  • Our goal is to have as much of our content as possible available in both English and French. As a result, your post may be translated. If you are able to write your post in both English and French, please do.
  • By submitting your post, you agree to being published on our blog and that your words may also be republished in full or in part (including highlighting individual quotations) on our website, in our newsletters, in our annual report, or in other marketing materials. It will also be promoted through our social networks. Our intentions in republishing your words will always be to support and promote charitable giving, and we will never use your words in a way that would contradict the work you do.
  • Images help bring your words alive. If possible, please send us a variety of images or videos that we may choose from that help tell your story. By providing images you confirm you have the required permissions for CanadaHelps to use on its website alongside your post.
  • Each post we use will include the author’s name, and may also include your job title, organization, and website and social media links. Please include any relevant information you wish to include when you submit your post.
  • Posts should be around 750 words (maximum 1,000). If you have any concerns about this please be in touch.
  • We welcome a diversity of opinions in order to facilitate engaging discussions. However, all posts must be respectful. If we feel that any part of your content does not meet that standard, we will ask you to either revise or withdraw it.
  • In some cases the number of submissions may exceed our posting capacity. When determining which submissions to post and when, we will consider a variety of factors and make an effort to highlight the broad diversity within the sector including, your cause, location, population(s) served, and charity size.
