Aperçu

The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta's 6th Annual Campaign Kick-off  "Extraordinary Minds"  is SSA's largest fundraiser of the year. Following the kick-off,  the fundraising campaign runs for six weeks and includes direct mail, media coverage, public engagement and social media marketing.

This past year SSA provided support to 26,329 individuals living with schizophrenia, their families, and caregivers. This year our campaign goal is to raise $120,000 to help expand our reach to support 34,000 by December 2018.

CAMPAIGN GOAL: To Raise $120,000 to support 35,000 Albertans

The campaign kick-off is an in-depth and poignant look into the personal lives of those living with schizophrenia. Through the play, Starry Night, you will see the effects of the illness and get a glimpse of their journey as they face the stigma and challenges associated with mental illness.

CTV hosts the evening which features:

Networking Reception
Greetings from Associate Health Minister, Brandy Payne
Starry Night Performance
Discussion Panel: Dr. Thomas Raedler, Elizabeth Anderson and
Maxime Rouleau

À propos de cet organisme

Since 1980, we’ve been making a real difference in the lives of those affected by schizophrenia. Our branches in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Camrose, and Lethbridge offer programs and services in-person and over the phone. We also offer the convenience of online programming to ensure all Albertans have access to support. Through our supportive housing program, we provide three different levels of care to 53 people living with schizophrenia who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness.
