Aperçu

Join ARCH Hospice for their third annual Butterfly Release this summer at the Bellevue Park Bandshell. Purchase one butterfly for $30 or four butterflies for $100.

Pets are welcome to join as well... so long as they don't have an appetite for beautiful butterflies! Rain or shine, the release is set to begin at 6pm. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair or blanket.

Butterflies must be pre-ordered by July 16.

Détails

According to an American Indian Legend, if anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who hears and sees all.

In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish. So, according to legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens and be granted.

ARCH Hospice provides quality, compassionate care through end-of-life to Algoma District families at no cost. The emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort of our residents and their loved ones is our highest priority. We offer a home-away-from-home during one of life’s most important moments: the end-of-life journey. ARCH Hospice is only partially government funded, requiring more than $750,000 annually in community support as well as the generosity of more than 140 volunteers to provide our services to the community.
