Note: If you're joining as a relay team you must first join and pay as an individual. Then when you register, please indicate if you are on a relay team and your team name. We have no rules concerning relay teams. It is all about your personal challenge                                                             


  Take part in this challenging 76 km ride from Williams Lake to Gavin Lake. The ride features spectacular scenery, varied terrain, and great fun.

You will be fully supported with bike maintenance, support drivers, first aid on route, and rest stops providing lunch & refreshments along the way.

When you reach the lake, you will be greeted by friendly faces, a massage, hot showers, an outdoor sauna and incredible food. Guests are invited to join you for dinner.

Following dinner and presentations, transportation is provided back to town.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters thank you very much for supporting the Tour de Cariboo

100% of the funds you raised through this event remain in Williams Lake & the South Cariboo to support children’s programming.  Following is some information that may be helpful for you to know.

  • Registration is at the Cariboo Memorial Complex at 8am Sept 8, 2018                                    Ride start at 9:00

Bring your pledges at this time if you have not already handed them in to the office. There is a $100 Minimum Pledge Requirement. Just a reminder that all pledge books used or unused must be returned.


  • Tour de Cariboo Registration $50, 25th Anniversary T-Shirt $20 (optional) 
  • Remember Bedding if you are staying overnight. Cabins are heated.
  • Clearly mark your name on the bags you wish to have taken out to Gavin Lake  Place your bags at the Tour de Cariboo Trailer.  They will be awaiting your arrival
  • There are rest stops with port a potties throughout the route, and a lunch stop at Big Lake Store. 
  • Support drivers and first aid will be on the route to help you with any problems that may incur
  • Remember the last leg is gravel. You may wish to bring supplies for repair
  • Our massage therapist –will be available at Gavin. There is $1 per minute fee for this service.
  • Showers are available at the lake
  • Enjoy the outdoor sauna on the shores of Gavin Lake
  • There will be food at Gavin for those riders that skip the lunch at Big Lake.                  Please remind your guests that the food is for the riders 
  • Dinner will be served at approximately 4pm
  • Transportation back to town is provided for those that make prior arrangements with the agency                                                                                                  ENJOY YOUR RIDE!

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Williams Lake Agency was started in 1982 by a dedicated Board of Directors. There were no staff hired at this time and Board Members did all the work required to deliver services to the children and youth in Williams Lake. The agency has grown in staff numbers and area over three decades. We currently have 3 full time and 2 part staff. We expanded our reach in 2014 by opening a satellite office in the South Cariboo. As an agency opened and have been striving to support children and youth by adding the one-to one mentoring in schools with the Site Based Mentoring 19 years ago and the Group Mentoring programs 3 years ago. Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are preventative and operate from a strength-based perspective. Unlocking a child's true perspective creates a future where anything is possible.
