The Fun Racer is an event being organized by a mom and Big Sister of a Little Sister who would like to help fundraise for the Group Program. Group is for all matched children as well as children waiting to be matched. Once a month we organize something fun for the children however due to funding, we are often restricted by what we do and how many we can include. 100% of the proceeds of this event will lead to smiles, laughter and wonderful memories!

Check out the amazing prizes on our Facebook page

You will check in at KIPP in Bissell Park in Elora 15 minutes before your start time to get your package and first clue. This will lead you on a chase of nooks and crannies you may not know, in your own backyard! Explore the beauty of Centre Wellington in the most fun way possible - through puzzles and physical and mental challenges that are geared towards all ages and stages. Then join us back at Bissell park for prizes, fun and food starting at 4:30.

  1. What is the fee to participate? A carload of up to 6 people is now $40 but don’t stop there! To increase your odds of coming away with a snazzy prize, ask your family, friends and colleagues to support you! Host a lemonade stand on a hot day, declutter and hold a garage sale or spearhead a dress down or bake sale at work. The more you do, the better your time will be and the closer you are to winning a prize! !
  2. How long will the Fun Racer take? It totally depends on the racers but we anticipate this taking about 2.5 hours. Not too long but not too short
  3. Is this for adults or kids? It is for everyone! Challenges have been designed for all ages and stages.
  4. What should we bring with us on this race? We recommend a full tank of gas  and then a water bottle and a towel in case you get wet at one of the challenges. There isn’t anything you cannot bring.
  5. What difficulty level are the challenges? We have tried to make these challenges so that you can lean on the strengths of the people in the car. If it is a physical challenge, one person can do it or the whole car load can contribute to getting it done faster/easier. If it is a concern,  you can always fund raise enough to earn a bonus that allows you to skip a challenge you don’t want to do.
  6. We have some questions… who can we talk to? You can email and speak to Sheri.

At Check In (at KIPP in Bissell Park) we will have a Service Station where you can turn your collected pledges and fund raised dollars into Litres of Fuel and use your Litres of Fuel to purchase different things that will help you complete the race faster than the rest of the cars, which means you could take home a great prize! $1 raised = 1 Litre of Fuel

75L of Fuel can get you a Detail: Use this bonus throughout the race to get a one time “hint” for a single Detail activated challenge (5 challenges).

150 L of Fuel can get you an Oil Change: Use this bonus to add 5 minutes to another team! Note that multiple oil changes can be purchased but they cannot be applied to the same team.

300 L of Fuel can get you a Toll: Use this bonus to have 5 minutes deducted from your final time! Note that your team may use the toll highways as many times as you can afford!

600 L of Fuel can get you a Tune Up: Use this bonus to skip a Station along the journey! Note this can can only be used at one of three stations which are Tune Up activated.
