Camp Outlook's Fall 2017 Fundraiser brings together friends, donors, and staff for an evening at the Kingston Yacht Club.

The goal of our fall fundraiser is to raise $10,000 for equipment renewal. We need new camping gear and our priority is to fund the purchase of 20 new tents. Outlook staff are legendary for their resourcefulness in keeping our fleet of canoes afloat year after year, and working minor miracles to keep stoves, tumps, and other vital equipment in working condition. But our tents are urgent need of replacement and that's why we're launching this fall appeal.

Speakers: Steve Tripp, Wilderness Tripping

The Night

6:30-7:30pm | Slide show: Former Outlook campers speak about their experiences

7:30-9:30pm | Meet and mingle: Enjoy the yacht club bar, while hors d'oeuvres are served; mingle with speakers, Outlook staff and former campers

9:30-10:30pm | Music: A live band will play (TBD)

À propos de cet organisme

Camp Outlook is an independent, community based, nonprofit, charitable organization, staffed entirely by volunteers. We believe strongly in the worth and potential of all youth, the power of experiential learning, and the therapeutic value of wilderness tripping. Our mission is to provide young people a chance to develop their sense of self worth, inner strength, and capacity to succeed. To do this we provide youth of all genders, ages 13 to 17, with the opportunity to experience wilderness camping on summer backcountry canoe trips and fall/winter hiking trips. We use the therapeutic nature of wilderness tripping to provide an environment that allows them to respond to nature’s challenges and learn about their own abilities in a team while being supported by trained staff. Teamwork and cooperation are what allows our trips to run smoothly; our trip groups often come back from their adventure as a strong community.
