From December 1 to December 13, Q107FM, John Derringer and Derringer in the Morning show support Abuse Hurts with a 13-day, 24/7 radio-thon, encouraging listeners to support the charity with cash and/or product.

The charity's largest fundraising drive every year, Derringer's 13 Days of Christmas helps Abuse Hurts to support abused women and children all year round.

Change a life in the GTA and make a donation to assist hundreds of individuals, mostly women & children, who have been innocent victims of abuse, and are in desperate need this Christmas.

You’ll help provide them with gift cards, clothing, toys, bedding, referral for counseling and shelters, furniture and the basic necessities in life. Your support over the years has helped raise over 11 million dollars in cash and product for Abuse Hurts, and has touched almost 2 million people in distress who are suffering from some form of abuse.

Stay tuned to Q107 throughout the campaign to hear how your support has helped the lives of others.

This year, IBEW Local 353 will be matching listener donations up to $20,000.00. Here’s how you can make a cash donation for this holiday season:

  • To make a tax deductible charitable donation, please call 1-800-379-8858 from 6am until 7pm daily.
  • Make a donation through Canada Helps.
  • You or your company can sponsor a family by holding a donation drive and encourage people to make a cash donation. Contact Ellen Campbell
  • Donate your old car through the Abuse Hurts Vehicle Donation Program.
  • Donate an item or service to the amazing online auction.

À propos de cet organisme

We are a source of courage, a catalyst for hope, and a leader of movement and change. Abuse Hurts is a national, charitable organization that has served Canadians since 1993. The Centre’s mandate is to significantly reduce the incidence and impact of abuse through education and public awareness. Abuse Hurts operates solely on private donations with no sustaining funds from any government body. Abuse Hurts aims to raise awareness about the true cost of neglect and abuse and currently supports over 100 organizations nationally, including children’s services, victim’s services, shelters, and other agencies that deal with over 100,000 children, women, and men whose lives have been affected by abuse. With help from the community and corporate partners, the Centre also provides access to support, healing and individual empowerment for adult survivors, their families, and caregivers. Our administrative costs are currently under 12%.
