À propos de cet organisme

OSI-CAN is a province-wide initiative launched in January 2016 in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion (Saskatchewan Command). Our target group is serving members and veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, Allied Armed Forces and RCMP as well as community first responders. Our goal is to empower and encourage these individuals to strive for recovery through peer and professional support. We endeavour to minimize barriers so that anyone in our target group affected with OSI/PTSD can seek help in their journey to recovery. Our current services include: • Support groups • Equine assisted therapy • Referral and support for those who would benefit from a service dog • Linking members with other services as needed such as housing, counselling, vocational training, psychosocial rehabilitation, etc. • Providing coping strategies, self-care and symptom management • Phone-in support groups
