7th Annual Transplant Trot - "Running to Celebrate Life"
L'association Canadienne des greffes
ABOUT THE EVENT
The Canadian Transplant Association (CTA) BC region is holding its 7th annual “Transplant Trot” 5KM Run/Walk and 1KM Kids/Family Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, April 5th, 2020! The event falls on the first Sunday, of National Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Month (NOTDAM) and the weekend to recognize "Green Shirt Day - The Logan Boulet Effect". In honour of all our donors, donor families and transplant recipients, we celebrate life with this annual walk/run.
The CTA is a registered charitable organization comprised of transplant recipients, athletes, health care professionals, supporters, and volunteers dedicated to promoting post transplant health and organ and tissue donation through public advocacy, educational programs, and awareness events such as the Transplant Trot. Funds from this event will also support the Canadian Transplant Association National Transplant Games and other community events.
LOCATION: This year's event will take place in Burnaby's Central Park, near Swangard Stadium, as per last year and we hope to see many of our community and community supporters out flooding the park in Green. You may choose to select a Transplant Trot t-shirt or your Green Shirt day t-shirt, the choice is yours. The important thing is to show up and celebrate with your community and show your support for organ donation and life post transplant!
