CANCER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM CITY OF HAMILTON & DISTRICT
The Cancer Assistance Program's (CAP's) annual CARE Walk (Walking to Create Access, REmove barriers to care and improve quality of life for individuals affected by cancer) is fast approaching.
Our third annual CARE Walk raises much needed funds to support CAP's continued delivery of valuable and free services for men, women and children, living across the greater region of Hamilton and surrounding communities, who are affected by cancer.
Free services include transportation, home health equipment loans, parking for appointments taking place at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and Hospital, monthly issuances of oral nutritional supplements and adult incontinence products and the provision of breast prostheses, mastectomy bras, wigs and alternative head coverings.
CAP is not in receipt of any government funding but instead relies on community grants, the generosity of the community and proceeds from special events.
