To fulfil the growing Muslim population in Central Alberta, we have purchased 5 acres of land at a price of $600,000 with an aim to build a larger facility that can accommodate a congregation of at least 1500 people. We also have a plan to build an Islamic school in the second phase for the Islamic educational needs of children and youth. The cost of land purchase and preliminary construction is estimated to be $1.5 million. By the grace of Almighty Allah, we have a cash balance of $380,000 on hand and our immediate goal is to raise $220,000 by the end of May 2017 to pay off the remaining balance on the land purchase.
