À propos de cet organisme

Our mission is to provide caring support and advocacy for children and youth who are victims or witnesses of crime or abuse and their families - empowering them to use their voice and tell their story, so that they are heard, helped and can heal. We provide proactive education and awareness about challenges and support available for these victims, and education to help reduce the risk of kids becoming victims of crime. We fulfill our mission through 3 core programs: 1) Child Witness Program: Supporting over 500 children each year who are victims or witnesses of crime and their families, 35% (203 of 579) from Guelph and Wellington County. 2) Child and Youth Advocacy Centre: Collaborative Waterloo Region initiative established in May 2016 and have assisted 717 children victims of abuse and their families in year one.
