4 Celebrities, 3 Entrepreneurs, 1 Chance to Shine

For the last 86 years, The Calgary Performing Arts Festival has featured thousands of amateur performers on it's stage. This year, in an effort to raise funds for performance arts programming in our vibrant arts city of Calgary...a small group of talented corporate types have agreed to be paired a professional Opera singer, Actor, Spoken Word Expert, and a Music guru to teach them the ropes in just 4 short weeks.

These locals shine in the boardroom but can they SHINE ON STAGE?

Our celebrities & corporate stars are volunteering their time, LET'S GIVE THEM A HAND by supporting them in their journey to SHINE on the stage. Every dollar raised will go to the Calgary Performing Arts Festival's annual performing arts programming.

À propos de cet organisme

In 1931, a small group of eager musicians decided to take their love of music to the next level by creating an event called The Calgary Music Festival. The Festival began as a small competition but quickly grew so large that this small group of musicians approached the Kiwanis Clubs of Calgary to take ownership of the Festival, giving it the new title: The Calgary Kiwanis Festival. Since then, our Festival has become one of the greatest performing arts events in Calgary, and one of the largest amateur competitive festivals in North America. In 2014, Calgary Kiwanis Festival underwent another name change and became The Calgary Performing Arts Festival. Each year CPAF provides important programming and is a vital contributor to the arts community of Calgary and it's surrounding areas. Your contribution allows students the opportunities required to practice, and even excel in their given performing arts discipline.
