Bluey Day 2020
FORT ST. JOHN HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Bluey Day is an annual event organized by the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, in collaboration with BC Ambulance Services, and Coach Barbers. It is now on its 21st year.
Participants register, raise funds in-person or online with the help of family, friends, and businesses. By shaving their head, face, cutting their ponytail, or all of the above—they are doing it to give hope to cancer patients, to remember cancer patients who have passed, and to raise cancer awareness in the community.
The goal this year is to raise $100,000 for the Cancer Treatment and Diagnostic Fund. This fund is to purchase emergent equipment needs for the Diagnostic Imaging Department, Laboratory, Operating Theatre, and Endoscopy Suite to help with early screening and diagnosis of cancer; and for treatment of cancer at the Community Cancer Centre.
Bluey Day 2020 will be held on May 23, 2020 (Saturday) at the BC Ambulance Service Building, 100010 96 Street, Fort St. John, BC V1J 6Y6, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Registration opens March 2, 2020.
