We will be walking in unity to raise support for the homeless in Edmonton and Calgary. We start and finish at Hope Mission- our headquarters for stories, activities, food, and a place of warmth- and will walk 2 and/or 5km in the cold to remind us of our neighbours who depend on Hope Mission this season.

When: Saturday, February 17th, 2018. Come walk with us for Family Weekend to support our neighbours.

Where: 9908 106 Ave. Beginning and ending at Hope Mission, we will walk 2 and/or 5 km through Edmonton’s downtown core.

Why: Our walk is in support of all the men, women and children who are cold and hungry this season, and through our support, to bring them hot meals and care.

Cost: Registration is $25. Every walker will receive a pair of mitts to celebrate their contribution to keeping hands warm this winter through the work of Hope Mission.

Goal: Our goal is an ambitious $50,000! To accomplish our goal we’re looking for 40 team captains (of any age) who will recruit 6-8 friends to their team, with a goal of raising $2000 per team. Individuals can also choose to join an existing team that needs support.

À propos de cet organisme

In 1929, Reverend Harold Edwardson established a soup kitchen in Edmonton’s inner-city serving meals to hundreds of people struggling with unemployment and homelessness at the onset of the Depression. Today, Hope Mission has grown into a not-for-profit Christian social care agency caring for impoverished and homeless men, women and children in Alberta.
