À propos de cet organisme

The Humane Society of Durham Region (HSDR) is the only charitable animal shelter operating in Durham Region that is solely dedicated to caring, housing and finding homes for the unwanted, abandoned, abused and neglected animals in our community. HSDR has been operating since 1965 and is totally dependent upon individuals, corporations and foundations generous gifts as it does not receive government funding for operations. Each year, HSDR helps over 1,000 abandoned, abused and neglected animals. While in the Society’s care, animals are provided with food, medical care, shelter, love and attention until forever homes are found. With on-site veterinary services available, surrendered pets are given the care they need while awaiting adoption and we are proud of our "kill free" status. All proceeds from the gala will directly support the animals we serve.
