1000-Cranes Initiative "Sen Ba Zuru"

Tonari Gumi: Japanese Community Volunteers Association will run its 1000-Cranes initiative from March 2016 to December 2018.

We hope to raise $100,000 each year for three years to help fund our programs and services. For every $100 donated, one of our volunteers or seniors will fold you and origami crane in appreciation.

In Japanese culture, cranes are seen as magical, bringing luck, longevity and protecting those around them. At Tonari Gumi, the hands of our volunteers are like the cranes, taking care of and lending a helping hand to those in need.

Please donate a crane today!
