À propos de cet organisme

Literacy North Halton is a not for profit, charitable organization which works in the communities of Georgetown, Acton, and Milton. Clients who attend our programs are getting a second chance at education. Our students have many challenges in their lives due to low literacy. We help them work on their reading, writing, and basic math skills so they can secure employment, help children with homework, and improve their health and community engagement. The Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee is one of two key annual fundraising events for the Adult Learning Centre. It is an old-fashioned spelling bee – with a twist! Please support the Adult Learning Centre by becoming a sponsor or entering a Team of Spellers.
