The Peter Gzowski Invitational Golf Tournament (NSPGI) returns to the Bell Bay Golf Club in Baddeck, Cape Breton where it was held 20 years ago in June 1998.
NSPGI 1998 was the first tournament held at the newly opened 18 hole course, and the man himself, CBC Radio host Peter Gzowski attended.
Over 200 golfers enjoyed two days of a rollicking great time that included a Barra MacNeil concert the evening prior, and a beautiful day of golf with a feed of lobster afterwards! Former Nova Scotia Premier Dr John Savage, musician John Allan Cameron and politicians Bernie Boudreau and Richie Mann joined in on the festivities and fun.
A total of $80,000 was raised to help enrich literacy programs in the province.
Gillis Truckways Inc of Baddeck have participated in every NSPGI since 1998, and they are partnering with Literacy Nova Scotia as NSPGI organizers for 2017.
Literacy Nova Scotia (LNS), the beneficiary of the funds raised through NSPGI, is a non-profit organization that supports literacy.
Net revenue raised at NSPGI 2017 helps ensure that Literacy Nova Scotia will be able to support adult learners.
Join us for a memorable 2 days of friendship, music and golf in beautiful Baddeck, Cape Breton, and help us change lives through literacy!
