À propos de cet organisme

Luke’s Place is a unique resource centre devoted solely to improving the safety and experience of women who have been subjected to abuse, and their children, as they proceed through the family law system. Every year we support hundreds of women during this challenging process by providing individual and group information sessions, pro bono legal services, safety planning and the development and regular updates of manuals and resources both in print and online. A core component of our work that stems from years of research and direct service delivery to thousands of women is our commitment to enhance legal service delivery throughout Ontario. We share our expertise through comprehensive training and tools for advocates. We also offer critical community based training and mentorship for shelter staff, lawyers and other social service professionals. Our new Virtual Legal Clinic connects women in under served regions of the province to lawyers for family law summary advice.
