In the face of the racist and anti-immigrant sentiments that have been expressed in Toronto recently – even in an area as socially progressive as the Beaches – the Welcome Home Benefit Concert is a way to express your support for newcomers in a meaningful way.

Tickets: $45 for the first 45 people to register, and $50 after that — prices include a $30 tax-deductible donation receipt and the chance to win some fabulous door prizes donated by our generous sponsors.**Tickets now available for only $20!!**

This is a family-friendly event, and children 2-12 years old can enjoy activities organized by our childminders. Children's activities are $10 for one child and $20 for 2 or more children — no need to buy a concert ticket. Children under 2 who are accompanied by a ticket holder are free.

Funds raised will support MNLCT programs for newcomers, such as settlement services, mental health counselling, and counter-human trafficking services.

À propos de cet organisme

As a community-based settlement agency, the Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto (MNLCT) is a place of welcome, friendship and community, where newcomers and neighbours gather to support each other, learn from each other, and take action together for a more just and compassionate society. Since 1983, newcomers having been receiving support through the Centre. Programs and services include: settlement services, language instruction, employment mentoring, and mental health supports — together with opportunities for civic participation. In 2016, Seneca College's Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees (SSWI) Program honoured the MNLCT for our longstanding commitment to improving the lives of immigrants and refugees, and with the help of donors, members, and community partners, we hope to continue working to build a caring and inclusive community where the ideas and contributions of newcomers are respected and valued.
