The 1st annual Golf Tournament provides a venue to support the work of the museum while enjoying a round of golf with friends and associates.

The tournament will be Saturday September 10, 2016, beginning at 2:30pm, at the Heather Glen Golf Club. Heather Glen is located at 5240 Lakeridge Road, RR#1 Ashburn, Ontario. This is just south of the Dagmar ski hills and resort.

9 holes (best ball) with power cart, putting contest, prizes, steak or chicken dinner, and 50-50 raffle, all for $125. Register a 4-some today for only $500.

All skill levels welcome.

A charitable tax receipt of $70 will be given. All proceeds go to the Museum of Natural Science and History.

The tournament will begin at 2:30. A group of 4 people will tee off. Then whichever of the 4 shots is the best, the other 3 players will pickup their balls and move them to where the best ball is. All 4 players will then shoot from that locations. Play continues until a ball is sunk into the hole. One score is then recorded for that team. The team with the lowest score will win a prize.

Sometime during the afternoon, either before the first hole or after the last hole, each person can participate in the putting contest. Best score wins a prize.

Dinner will begin around 6:30, depending on the number of golfers participating. The entire event will be complete around 8pm.

Rules of the club:

Golf cart operators of golf carts must be 25 years old. 2 people per cart.  

Each player must have his own set of clubs. Rental clubs are available in the Pro Shop for $10.00 1/2 set or $15.00 for a full set.

 

Dress Code: Our dress code is quite relaxed but please observe the following:

Unacceptable Attire: sweat pants, cut-offs, short shorts, bathing suits and muscle shirts

 

All food and beverage products consumed on Heather Glen property must be sold and dispensed by our staff in accordance with the department of health regulations. No liquor or ice chests (coolers) will be brought onto the golf course property. Golfers who bring outside alcoholic beverages onto the golf course property will be removed, without refund from the event and will be escorted off the property. For the enjoyment of your guests, please ensure that they are aware of this policy before they arrive.

 

Soft spikes or running shoes only, no metal spikes allowed. It is the players duty to keep the course in good condition by* raking sand traps *placing garbage in containers provided *keeping power carts at least (30) feet away from greens and on cart paths where possible.
