Come for a morning walk with your canine friend and raise funds for a great cause!

Welcome to the 1st Annual Paws for a Cause supporting Never Alone Foundation, and raising awareness for our friends at Manitoba Underdogs Rescue. Paws for a Cause will be hosted by Virgin Radio's Ace Burpee and his canine pal Bally.

Each individual over 16 must register separately. Don't worry you can still be on the same team. So sign up with your canine pal (max 2 per person) by creating a team. Start fundraising today and get more people to join your pack.

The first 100 individuals who raise $150 or more will receive a Wag Bag. Each Wag Bag contains gifts for you and your canine friend.

Wait there's more!

First individual to raise $1,000 will receive a prize package valued at over $500.
First team to raise $2,000 will receive a prize package valued at over $250.

Note: You don't need a dog to sign up.

Join us for a fun-filled day celebrating our canine friends. Hang out in the puppy lounge, snack on treats (both human and canine) and stroll through Kildonan Park.

Registration starts at 9:00am and the walk begins at 10:45am.

Paws for a Cause was created to help fund the Day Away - Jerry's Gift program at the Never Alone Foundation in honour of Jerry Maslowsky.

Jerry Maslowsky worked alongside Never Alone Foundation's founder, Lyle Bauer at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Jerry was instrumental in helping with many of the early events, and remained close to the Foundation over the years.

Jerry's Gift allows individuals, families, and caregivers affected by cancer the opportunity to experience a break from everyday life by attending a memorable event (theatre, sporting events, concerts, etc.). Jerry also loved animals, especially his grand-puppy Rue. Dogs have the ability to offer companionship and love like no other and can recognize when a loved one is suffering. Rue would sit with Jerry for hours, offering her unconditional love and comfort.

Do your part to help individuals and families affected by cancer - together we can do so much.
