The Parkside Centre was created in 1976 to serve people 50 years of age and older and to act as a resource center for the other seniors clubs throughout the City of Greater Sudbury. Our mission is “to enable, provide and advocate opportunities for older adults to explore their potential and to maintain an active, independent life style”.
The ParkSide Centre offers a wide variety of programs to seniors on a quarterly basis, over 100 per quarter. These are in the areas of fitness and wellness, arts and crafts, computer classes, games, music lessons (instrumental and vocal), general interest seminars and ParkSide Centre Without Walls. Our services include a Helping You At Home program, telephone assurance and subsidized transportation to and from the Centre.
These programs and services are currently meeting the needs of our nearly 1000 members and many other non-members. As the demographics in the community continue to shift, the demand for our services will grow correspondingly. Your support will allow us to meet these demands.
